It's been 6 months and I still struggle with telling myself that quitting that horrible school job was a good decision. But here it is.

Quit my school teacher job - it made me sick, sad and pulled me away from being my artistic true self.

Love this Vedi, you help reconnect with my purpose like no one else. ❤️

The fact that you’re describing it as horrible means that leaving it was definitely a good decision! Only you know what you are experiencing, where you are being pulled and what you are being pulled away from. We got this.

1. Well I made the mistake of leaving a Doctorate opportunity, as I had to work in a toxic environment which was slowly eating me away bit by bit. - no regret

2. In the process of handling grief I let myself binge and that led to an avenue of problems - huge regrets but trying to work on it . Forgive myself amd understand why I did what I did.

3. Cared overly for people when they didn't ask for it. - no regret ( lessons learned)

I love this list! With each of them you’re either choosing something better or seem to have learned from it. We try to live a life with as few regrets as possible.

LOVE THIS SM!!! literally my theme for this year is fuck around and find out and just make as many mistakes as you can because how else do we learn unless we don’t give ourselves space to experiment and just be kinder to ourselves 🩷🌸

I recently saw some variations of exactly this feeling! Make mistakes and learn. Fuck around and find out. Experiment and see the results. I’m glad we can find a space in each other to experiment and be kind.

love the sign out <3 I learnt to be kinder to myself when i started living alone. I broke a glass once and caught myself right when the internal monologue of cussing myself out started and realised that wasn't my voice, it was someone else's. Mistakes have gotten much easier to move past ever since <333

The sign out comes from the supreme confidence that I am bound to make more mistakes haha. Listening to your own voice and deciphering when it isn’t your own is a skill I’m honing too. It takes practice, but it gets easier like you said.

Thank you, Vedi, for your article on Mistakes! It helped me learn about embracing my creative side and being proud of my decision to pursue art, despite societal expectations.

I got caught up in the 9-5 cycle and dedicated all my time to it for almost 2 years. This pulled me away from my creative side. Despite my parents thinking that choosing art is ruining my career and won't lead me anywhere, I am proud of my decision and will never stop creating art.

You are truly inspirational. I am lucky to be surrounded by creative people like you and Manasi who are pursuing artistic and creative lives full time. I know we will grow together! Societal expectations are just that - expectations. Doesn’t mean we need to give into them.
